Here's the thing about Taylor Swift: An 8-year-old and a 26-year-old can both totally enjoy her shows - even if the older of the two better relates to her recurring boy-did-me-wrong theme and the younger is way more into the screaming, bouncing and glittering of Swift live.
Swift, 18, who performed last Saturday at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center and is slated again for Orlando on Feb. 17, is country music's rising sweetheart.
She's nominated for a Grammy in the best new artist category; her self-titled debut album recently went double-platinum; and she recently won the County Music Association's Horizon Award, the CMA's version of best new artist. (Who could forget Swift's heartfelt declaration that the award was the highlight of her senior year?)
Yet, for all her success and accolades, Swift seems genuinely surprised that people like her. At least a dozen times during her Tampa show, she grasped her heart, gazed dreamily at the sold-out crowd and said "Thank you so much" with such sincerity, such utter gratitude, you couldn't help...
