Dr. Gwen Baker plans UNICEF program of global diversity for children.

After a lifelong fascination with the efforts put forth by the United Nations Children's Emergency Fund, better known as UNICEF, Dr. Gwendolyn Calvert Baker now holds the coveted position of president and chief executive officer of the United States Committee for UNICEF.
The U.S. Committee, which depends solely on voluntary contributions to enact its programs, is the oldest and largest of the 35 national committees committed to a global alert to tell the world about the urgent needs of the world's children.
Baker, who describes herself as "globally minded," has galvanized plans for meeting the special needs of impoverished children and gender issues of concern.
