It's 23 degrees out in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but the sun is showering light on the outdoor set of the TV show, Disney's "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids." And the camera doesn't know how cold it is.
Hillary Tuck, who plays the teen-age daughter of the inveterate inventor Wayne Szalinski ( Peter Scolari), is ready to rehearse a scene in which she ambles down the street with a friend chatting about a test she just aced.
For now, director Scott McGinnis (who has helmed more "Honeys" than any other director) permits Hillary to wear a coat over her sweater and pants - just for rehearsal. The Canadian crew is used to the frigid temperatures.
Though it's only 8 in the morning, the caterer has anticipated the weather. Not only is the craft table full of doughnuts, sweet rolls, coffee...
