Fallingwater, receiving homage in the exhibition "Frank Lloyd Wright: Architect" at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City, will be the subject of a Pittsburgh-made film premiering at the museum April 26.
Kenneth Love has made "Fallingwater: A Conversation With Edgar Kaufmann Jr.," in association with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy.
Love, who lives in Shadyside, worked at WQED-TV for 20 years as a filmmaker. In October 1982 he helped make "House on the Waterfall." After six years of fund-raising, that film was produced in 1986 by 'QED's Mary Rawson.
At 'QED, Love, 44, helped produce more than 30 National Geographic specials and received 10 Emmy nominations.
But the 1982 interview with Kaufmann, who gave Fallingwater to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy in 1963, was one of Love's best.
