BERNICE (KUHN) NETLAND
KENTWOOD, MICH.
Burial for Bernice (Kuhn) Netland, 79, will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Fairmount Memorial Park. Memorial service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Community Bible Chapel.
Mrs. Netland, a former 26-year resident of Spokane, died March 3. She was born in Loup City, Neb.
She graduated from high school in Twin Falls, N.D., in 1942 and from Northwestern Bible College in 1950.
She and her husband served as missionaries in Japan under the Evangelical Alliance Mission for 30 years before returning to Spokane in 1982.
Mrs. Netland continued her missionary work in Spokane as a Northwest representative for TEAM. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Spokane.
She also led a Japanese women's Bible study in Spokane until moving to Michigan in 1998.
Her husband of 40 years, Anton Netland, died in 1992.
Survivors include three sons, Joel Netland of Park City, Utah, Harold Netland of Chicago and John Netland of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two daughters, Sara McKinney of Provo, Utah, and Grace Netland of Atlanta; a sister, Dorothy Kuhn of Mexico; a brother, Virgil Kuhn of Portland; and nine grandchildren.

RAY MAC BUECHNER
BONNERS FERRY, IDAHO
Service for Ray Mac Buechner, 71, will be today at 11 a.m. at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home with burial at Copeland Cemetery near Bonners Ferry.
Mr. Buechner, who was born in Eden, Calif., died May 19.
He attended school in California and then joined the Army National Guard in 1950. Mr. Buechner and his twin brother joined the Navy in 1952, and he served in Korea and Vietnam, serving for more than 22 years until receiving a medical discharge in 1972.
He married Yvonne woodworth in 1956. She preceded him in death after 41 years of marriage.
He received an Associate of Arts degree in refrigeration and air conditioning in 1977 from Riverside College in California.
Mr. Buechner moved his family to Bonners Ferry in 1980 and purchased a farm in the Copeland area.
