SIUC's Hudson Decides To Enter NBA Draft Pool
Troy Hudson, who leads the nation in 3-pointers this season and has been Southern Illinois' top scorer the past two years, said Tuesday he will make himself available for the National Basketball Association draft in June.
"I believe it's a good time to test the water," Hudson, a 6-foot-1 junior guard, said in a news release.
Hudson, who left the University of Missouri in 1994 and transferred to SIU-Carbondale, has averaged about 21 points the past two seasons. His single-game high was 39 points against Indiana State in 1996. He leads the nation this season with 4 1/2 3-pointers a game.
