Abstract

The new computers - Versa SX and Versa LX series - are made by Packard Bell's NEC Computer Systems Division and targeted squarely at road warriors. The latest in the company's push to create "thin and light" mobile computers, the notebooks weigh in at under 5 pounds and measure just 1.3 inches high.

"With the Versa SX and Versa LX products, NEC is offering companies a computing solution that meets the requirements of a wide range of users, from highly mobile executives, to the sales force, to people who occasionally travel," said Robert Levin, a vice president with NEC Computer Systems Division.
