Fox affiliate KMSP, Channel 9, racked up some truly beautiful Nielsen demographic ratings during TV's November sweeps, especially when it comes to that prized group of eyeballs belonging to viewers aged 25 to 54. Sister station WFTC, Channel 29, was less fortunate, with numbers that plummeted in the same demographic.
While interesting, those results hardly change the ranking of Twin Cities stations. When it comes to 25-to-54-year-olds, the viewing group most coveted by advertisers, KARE, Channel 11, still reigns supreme, attracting almost a third of the viewing audience to its late newscast, leaving most of the rest to WCCO, Channel 4, followed by KMSP and KSTP, Channel 5, which is seemingly ensconced in fourth place. WFTC is a distant fifth.
