Additional New Models Offer More Freedom of Choice to Customers
MAYNARD, Mass., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Extending its leadership position in Windows-based mobile computing for the enterprise, Digital Equipment Corporation today unveiled several powerful new models of its award-winning family of HiNote notebook computers. Two of these systems, the HiNote VP 745 and the HiNote Ultra 2000 GTX5266M, incorporate Intel's new 266 MHz "Tillamook" mobile Pentium processors, also announced today. These high- powered systems offer extended power savings, increased battery life and enhanced performance for mobile enterprise customers.
These high-end mobile systems complement Digital's HiNote lineup of VP 700 "all-in-one" notebook PCs, and the ultra-thin and light HiNote Ultra 2000 series. In addition to providing customers with more system performance, both new models also include large, vibrant screens, expanded high-capacity 4GB hard drives, exceptional connectivity and blazing graphics/multimedia capabilities.
Further demonstrating its commitment to competitively priced, high- performance mobile computing, Digital also announced today several additional new HiNote VP 700 and Ultra 2000 models, offering a range of pricepoints for customers with a variety of portable computing needs. These systems incorporate Intel's 200 MHz and 233 MHz "Tillamook" mobile Pentium processor technology, and include an array of features designed to offer Digital's mobile customers more freedom of choice.
