[Presenter] The Kremlin commandant's office has refused to open the [Lenin's] mausoleum on the 135th anniversary of Vladimir Lenin's birth. The shrine of the leader of the revolution is closed on Mondays and Fridays, as defined in the Moscow Kremlin's visiting rules. This was reconfirmed in the commandant's office.
However, Red Square itself is open and everybody who has received permission in advance can today lay a wreath at the mausoleum. Communist Party leader Gennadiy Zyuganov has already taken advantage of this opportunity. During the ceremony he also spoke in favour of memorials to Iosif Stalin being erected in Russia.

Today Stalin's [popularity] rating is the highest. Some people try to put [Russian President Vladimir] Putin ahead of him but nothing will come of this. His [Putin's] rating has collapsed to 25 per cent.
