NEW DELHI, India, Aug. 25 -- Not so long ago, in the year 2002, a group of young investment bankers and corporate professionals came together - to launch a new venture that would help the underprivileged. This resulted in the formation of Smile Foundation. One of the founding members, Naresh Chaudhary, is now the chief operating officer (COO) of the foundation. "The group started by contributing a part of their salaries for the cause," says Chaudhary.
