LEGENDARY South African musician Robbie Jansen was one of the crafters of Cape Town's unique musical and cultural identity, say friends of the late jazz artist.
Jansen died at Kuils River Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, after being admitted on Saturday. He was 60.
Jansen had battled emphysema for several years.
Close friend and music producer Jai Reddy said the musician had been admitted to hospital on Saturday with 15 percent lung capacity.
