Abstract

This book is designed to teach LogoWriter, a programming language. Each of the 41 small chapters focuses on a particular LogoWriter word or idea, and provides examples for practice and experimentation. Topics included are: (1) getting started with LogoWriter; (2) using repeat and label; (3) using color and random, shapes and stamp, fill and shade; (3) using text, mixing text and graphics, writing procedures; (4) cut, copy, and paste; (5) working with pages, Logo grammar, Logo arithmetic, printing; and (6) text manipulation, interactive programming, and designing programs. Ten appendices include key summaries, copies of keyboard stickers, and a quick reference card. (DB)
