Abstract
This master deals with the integration of the strategies of maintenance and the management operations in manufacturing systems. These manufacturing systems are affected by degradation phenomena throughout their lifetime. These phenomena are responsible for random breakdowns and reduce the ability of systems to ensure their function. Therefore, the development of appropriate maintenance policies for maximizing the system availability at minimum cost is required.
The production system in this work is constituted of one machine producing one part type. This system is subject to random breakdowns and repairs. We study first the corrective maintenance using a homogeneous Markov process with lockout/tagout. In a second study, we extend this initial model by integrating preventive maintenance activities and the age factor of the machine to take into account the degradation phenomena. This gives a non-homogeneous Markov process which is closer to industrial reality.
The study aims to develop an optimal strategy planning of the production in order to minimize the production cost while taking into account the security aspect through lockout/tagout during preventive maintenance and repair activities of the machine.
In the literature, studies dealing with the integration of the lockout/tagout and the management operations are almost nonexistent. But according to the CSST, many serious or fatal accidents are due to lockout/tagout procedures absent among others.
In this master, we consider the lockout/tagout as a mode of the machine in order to eliminate the risk of premature start during operations on the machine. The parameters of control are given according to the inventory. We use a model based on Markov chain. The use of numerical methods based on the Kushner approach to solve the optimality conditions or Hamilton Jacobi Bellman equations permit us to obtain the control policy desired.
The master presented thus, demonstrates the possibility to integrate production activities, maintenance and lockout/tagout, all while meeting productivity goals. Therefore, we will build production policies at an optimal cost in a safe space.
