Abstract

Data management software vendors are looking at adding functionality to help users meet new data reporting requirements following the introduction of the US Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act, particularly by improving position management capabilities. The Act, signed by Pres Obama on July 21, includes the set-up of the Office of Financial Research (OFR), a data collection and analysis center. The general consensus is that the regulatory overhaul in the US will result in new opportunities for data management vendors.
