* Vancouver-based rockers Nickelback have signed a 360-degree deal with L.A. company Live Nation. The contract includes tfrree albums and tours, as well as recording, merchandise, licensing, endorsements, sponsorships, DVD and broadcast rights. Other Live Nation clients include Madonna, Jay-Z, U2 and Shakira.
* Montreal-based TV and film composer Eric LeMoyne has been working on documentary scores. He wrote the music for My Messy Life, a one-hour CTV documentary by Montreal Gazette journalist and author Josh Freed, who took a humourous took at his own total disorganization. LeMoyne also worked on the Handel Production documentary film Liberty, which examines America's most celebrated value by taking a close look at six different towns named Liberty. He is currently working on a documentary that deals with the dark world of germ warfare.
