TelePacific Communications, a competitive carrier that claims to have the largest share after the major telcos in the core California and Nevada markets that it serves, should gain a bit more market share with today's announcement about the planned purchase of Megapath's broadband wireless operations and customers. Megapath, which recently made some major acquisitions of its own, said broadband wireless is not a key part of its strategy.
