Seeking challenge, finding skill: Flow experience and music education

Abstract

An approach to music education based on flow experience supports the creation of challenging and therefore enjoyable musical learning environment for students. Children actively seek musical challenges and in doing so guide teachers in designing appropriate strategies to assist in the acquisition of musical skill.
