Abstract

The IRS began accepting e-filed 2010 individual returns on January 14, kicking off the start of the filing season. The IRS reminded taxpayers of the Free File program, limited to taxpayers with adjusted gross income (AGI) of $58,000 or less, and Fillable Forms, available to all taxpayers regardless of AGI. All taxpayers who file their returns electronically must use an electronic signature. Taxpayers have until April 18, 2011, to file their 2010 tax return, an extension from the regular April 15 deadline.
