Black's Veterinary Dictionary is the standard veterinary dictionary. First published in 1928, and regularly revised every three to four years, it is now in its twenty-first edition and a hefty 691 pages, over 100 more than the twentieth, but roughly the same as the 1992 seventeenth edition.
