Abstract

According to Weber, charisma is: ...a certain quality of an individual personality, by virtue of which s/he is set apart from ordinary people and treated as endowed with supernatural, superhuman, or at least specifically exceptional powers or qualities. Mental health specialists are often aware that large numbers of persons needing their care end up seeking the help of charismatic healers of various hues: from the well meaning to outrageous charlatans.
