New for kids
Take a look at E Is for Environment: Stories to Help Children Care for Their World - at Home, at School, and at Play, written by Ian James Corlett and illustrated by R.A. Holt, The new Simon & Schuster hardcover ($18.99) would be gootl for children in the lower elementary school grades. The 26 simple stories featuring two children named Elliott and Lucy cover topics ranging from recycling to carpooling.
For other planning-related children's books, check out .AP.APlanningBooks.com. A charming example is A Street Through Time ($16 for APA members), which includes full-color panoramic drawings of a European town in different historical periods. It's a great way to help children understand how cities and towns are formed.
