Abstract

A study compared the models of structures of Nip7 proteins of shallow water and deep water archaea in order to study the molecular mechanisms of their adaptation to pressure. The results of modeling the structures of Nip7 protein from shallow and deep water archaea, as well as the analysis of amino acid substitutions in proteins of these archaea demonstrate the importance of the interaction of proteins with solvent for adaptation to changing ambient pressure.
