GREAT. What appeared be a perfect sunny day didn't last long as the rain began to pour by noon. But no! This wasn't going to stop the ultimate party and rock show festival, Rockaway 2011, that saw more than 7,000 people pouring in just like the rain, (that finally stopped after an hour, much to the relief of the organisers).
Although it delayed the start of the festival by almost two hours, the massive turnout gathered to rock on with the most impressive line up of 13 local acts and three international bands from the US.
Hard core rockers, whether emo, punk or grundge -- you name it -- were all there and together with incessant head banging, there were also mosh pits and body surfing.
Carpark A of Bukit Jalil Stadium turned into a collosium that was packed full of wild rockers, and that was enough to make this 12- hour marathon into an amazing and record-breaking success.
The highlights of the day included Hujan's set with a twist of hard-core, the introduction of Captain Rockaway, who was Hitz.Fm's comedic party expert, Ryan.
This was followed by Love Me Butch's and Deja Voodoo Spells' heavier and soulful set, followed by Kyoto Protocol's more engaging performance. Busco gave a super energetic act in full throttle while Monoloque's line up had a touch of retro and...
