IMPHAL, Nov. 10 -- Manipur's Jiribam District Demand Committee (JDDC) has decided to suspend their proposed total blockade on 225- km-long Imphal-Jiribam route (NH 53) following an understanding with the government last night in Imphal.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed. Th Jini, president JDDC and its convenor Maipaksana signed the MoU while State Chief Secretary DS Poonia and secretary to Chief Minister Sumant Singh signed, representing the government in the presence of Chief Minister O Ibobi, Revenue Minister Th Deveendro, IFCD Minister N Biren and other civil society leaders.
