Julian M. Pleasants and Harry A. Kersey Jr. base Seminole Voices: Reflections on Their Changing Society, i970-2000 on a sampling of interviews of Florida's Seminole Indians done by the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program at the University of Florida. In interviews conducted in large part in 1969-1971 and in 1998-1999, Seminoles representing various reservations and occupations recounted their experiences from swampland poverty to gaming wealth.
