Treat the psychosexual disorders known as paraphilias with both psychological and pharmacological therapy

Abstract

Paraphilias are sexual stimuli or acts that deviate from socially accepted sexual behaviour. The treatment of paraphilia is determined by its type, with a combination of psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy (e.g. antidepressants and anti-libidinal hormonal treatments) being more effective than either treatment alone.
