Abstract

The use of a titanium body for manufacture of rotating anodes of diagnostic X-ray tubes is suggested. The results of metallographic analysis of a composite anode made of titanium, molybdenum, and tungsten are discussed. Titanium is demonstrated to be the optimal material of the anode body. Comparative analysis of temperature fields of two anodes made of titanium and molybdenum is presented.
