The weekend activities begin with Friday night movies, starting at 7 p.m. Visitors are welcome to join Ranger Shana Martin at the Jackson Lake State Park Visitor Center to watch a movie that relates to the interpretive programs on Saturday and Sunday.
Summer is in full swing at Jackson Lake State Park, including many fun-filled programs for the whole family. Admission to the events is free to visitors who have a daily or an annual Colorado State Parks Pass.
The weekend activities begin with Friday night movies, starting at 7 p.m. Visitors are welcome to join Ranger Shana Martin at the Jackson Lake State Park Visitor Center to watch a movie that relates to the interpretive programs on Saturday and Sunday. Bring your popcorn and drinks for an enjoyable evening.
A series of interpretive programs will be held on Saturday nights at 7 p.m. in the outdoor Cove Amphitheater. Boat patrol officer Luke Owens will present a boat safety program on June 18. And on June 25, Val Loose from the Morgan County Soil Conservation District will present a program about pollinators.
The Sunday programs for children start at 10 a.m. in the visitor center and will relate to the Saturday evening program. Children working on their Junior Ranger Badge can contact Ranger Martin for assistance on Sunday as well. The Junior Ranger program kicks off with a weeklong program, June 14 through June 17. The classes will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 5 p.m. Children can earn their badge by attending all four of the classes. Children may also earn the Junior Ranger badge by attending 10 or more interpretive programs or by completing the independent study course. Both require completion of the scavenger hunt at the park.
