This month, the manufacturing world once again looks to the West, as professionals gather to attend WESTEC, the largest annual exhibition of manufacturing technology held on the West Coast. The biannual event will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center March 27-29.
At WESTEC 2012, attendees will be able to see demonstrations of the latest manufacturing technologies and applications by nearly 400 exhibitors from all over the world- 50 of which are exhibiting for the first time. Advanced machine tools, cutting tools, metrology equipment, metalworking fluids, advanced materials, and more will be on display.
Attendees will benefit from much more that what they will find in the exhibitors' booths, however. Each day at the WESTEC Theater (Booth 1226) some of the best new products and technologies to hit the market will be launched, announced and showcased. Exhibitors will demonstrate how their new product or technology will improve or innovate a manufacturing process. And at the Emerging Technology Showcase, attendees will have the opportunity to explore breakthroughs and advancement in the fields of nanotechnology, additive manufacturing and micro manufacturing.
Something new at WESTEC this year is the Learning Lounge (Booth 3038), a casual, collaborative learning experience hosted by industry experts who, in 45-minute sessions, will heip you gain new perspective and solutions for your business challenges. These are not simply lectures or demonstrations but rather interactions between the host and participants, designed to help you get the answers you need in a low-key, non-sales-oriented environment. There are 13 of these sessions across the three days of WESTEC, covering a wide range of technologies. There are two prime events at the WESTEC Theater, one on Tuesday, the other on Wednesday.
