FRIDAY: ITV1 drew double the audience of BBC1 as the sun set on the latest series of Benidorm.
Benidorm (ITV1) 9pm-10pm5.57m (24.38%) / 349k (1.89%) +1
The ensemble comedy managed to draw a similar figure to Benidorm's previous series finale, which drew 5.62m (24.14%) on 8 April 2011, according to overnight Barb figures supplied by Attentional.
Now in its fifth series, the seven-part run averaged 5.75m (25.16%) / 385k (2.15%) +1 - comfortably above ITV1's slot average of 4.41m (19.2%).
The sitcom also proved the most-watched show across the 9pm hour.
It was followed by entertainment special This is Lionel Richie across the 10pm hour.
