"Pune's Revati Devasthale was almost there, but unforced errors deprived her a place in the final (girls) of the Sushant Chipalkatti Memorial India Junior International Badminton Tournament at PDMBA complex, Shivajinagar on Saturday.
With a 11-6 cushion, in the decider, the unseeded Revati ran out of steam and her unforced errors saw the top seed, Rituparna Das ride away with a 2-1 win, and place in the final. Rituparna will now take on second seed G Ruthvika Shivani who comfortably defeated Riya Pillai (4th seed) in summit clash.
Revati was lucky...
