CREED Weathered (Epic) THE biggest-selling band in the States hit on a winning formula with the mix of grunge guitar and mainstream melody that made In Your Arms Again a worldwide hit, and unashamedly repeat the exercise, albeit with a harder edge. The cod-Eastern swirl of Who's Got My Back? may not be Zeppelin's Kashmir but it's a tour de force nonetheless.
Single My Sacrifice and the title track will sell in zillions.
MADONNA GHV2 (Maverick) AS it's Madge, record company moguls didn't dare call this compilation anything as simple as "Greatest Hits Vol 2". Hence the awkward acronym GHV2. Never mind, it's an excellent collection of Madonna highlights from 1993 to date, taking up where the bestselling Immaculate Collection left off. It's mature dance-pop with ambient beats and the odd bit of drum and bass thrown in for good measure. Highlights are Ray Of Light, The Power Of Goodbye and Beautiful Stranger, but Erotica isn't at all sexy.
