It was a satisfying day for Bromley-Heath last week when the Tenant Management Corporation was able to announce that after a year's effort they are on the air with their own radio station broadcasting exclusively to Bromley-Heath residents.
The operation is a carrier current radio station that uses electricity rather than radio waves. Six transmitters in a semicircle have been set in basements throughout the housing project. The transmittors and the equipment for the broadcasting station, including tape recorders, turntables, microphones, and cartridge machines, cost about six thousand dollars, a cost not out of reach.
