KYLIE Minogue may have recorded her new live album in Sydney, but Australian fans will have to wait to get their hands on a copy.
Showgirl Homecoming Live is released in the UK on Monday, but won't be officially released in Australia until February 3, at the earliest.
The double album was recorded in Sydney in November and features Bono on Kids.
The album also includes the new song White Diamond, written with the Scissor Sisters.
Local Kylie fans have told The Back Room they have already ordered the CD via UK websites, with import copies expected to surface in local record stores next week.
These import sales will hamper local sales when the album is finally released, with diehard Minogue fans not prepared to wait a month to own the album.
There is still no release date set for the Showgirl Homecoming DVD, which, unlike the live album, was recorded in Melbourne.
The concert will first air as a TV special on the UK's Channel 4.
The DVD is expected to have both the Bono and Dannii Minogue Kids duets as bonus features.
The concert used new "Spidercam" technology for the first time in Australia; the cameras flew over the venue on wires.
