The owners got together and arranged it so one was closed on Monday, another was closed on Tuesday and another on Wednesday. King Tuts day was Wednesday and it continues to close on Wednesdays.

Even if you're not hungry, it is worth making a trip down the West Virginia Turnpike to Beckley just to see King Tut Drive-In.
King Tut is one of those special places that's firmly lodged in the West Virginia time warp. It's old, but it's not retro - it just has stayed the same for more than a half-century.
Day and night, the glorious neon crown beckons drivers along busy Eisenhower Drive to whip in, park under the large, metal canopy and put the gobble on anything from a simple burger 'n' fries to pot roast or baby back ribs.
