As anyone who's been watching Big Brother over the past couple of weeks knows, the first and only reaction to people who put themselves under the scrutiny of a film crew for any period of time is "Hang 'em!"
So, it's with great bravery that local rock stars in waiting Payola volunteered to take part in an episode of current BBC series Ferry Tales.
The half-hour documentary, to be screened on BBC 1 on Thursday, August 10 at 11.05pm, traces their journey from rehearsals in Belfast to a gig in London's Sound Republic.
Singer Philip McCarroll takes up the story: "We were aware that this kind of exposure can leave you looking foolish. There was a series about an unsigned English band called FMB once that just made them look daft - but it was a chance we felt we had totake: a chance to get our music in millions of front rooms, and we think it's worked out well for us. We got on very well with the producers and we're pretty pleased with how it's turned out."
