THERE'S a scene in the new Outlander season unlike anything you've seen on any other television channel. It starts out in the bedroom of the two romantic leads, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe... but there is nothing lovey-dovey about it.
Highlander Jamie is sharing with his new wife, Claire, what it has been like trying to deal with his sexual abuse and torture at the hands of his evil adversary, Black Jack Randall, filmed with almost unwatchable forensic detail near the conclusion of series one.
While the script has handled Jamie's storyline well, it doesn't waste a moment to get back to what female fans love so much about the show - the unbridled passion shared by the two leads.
That sums up the real draw...
