WHY DUBLIN? It is the city of my childhood. As soon as school was out, I was on the ferry to Ireland with my mother, to visit relatives in Dublin and then spend our holidays on the family farm. The city has changed, although not always for the best. When I was a girl, it was pretty and poor but today it buzzes with vitality, yet the spirit of the Irish remains untarnished.
WHAT DO YOU MISS MOST WHEN YOU'RE AWAY? The craic, the chat, the invitation to join a party with whoever and wherever, the way the hours just fly by in a spirit of drama and madness.
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU DO WHEN YOU RETURN? Take a taxi to The Clarence hotel and order a glass of champagne with fish and chips.
