`Something to Remember' Madonna (Maverick) * *
From material girl to maturity dame. From the soft core of "Erotica" to the soft sell of "Bedtime Stories." In recent years, Madonna has been working hard to reinvent herself in efforts to strengthen her career.
Madonna realizes the Billboard charts are becoming much more competitive. She has to deal with the pop successes of Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson and the alternative brassiness of Courtney Love and Alanis Morissette. So in an effort to make sure people don't forget her, she has slopped together a collection of ballads called "Something to Remember."

Obviously, Madonna fears that she's not being taken seriously as a singer, that she could easily be replaced as a pop icon, and is desperately seeking acceptance as the big screen "Evita." In...
