This isn't exactly a recommendation. But if you want to see state-of-the-art cross-marketing, there's no better example than ABC's "Lilo & Stitch: Aloha From Hawaii," airing tonight at 9.
This is an infomercial for the Disney movie masquerading as an entertainment special on Disney-owned ABC, with guests Wynonna (for the country crowd), The A-Teens (for the, well, teen crowd) and Jessica Simpson (for the teens and dad), hosted by Kelly Ripa of "Live with Regis & Kelly" (for mom).
And then you're also promised, according to the ads, "an exclusive sneak peek" at the movie.
Did I mention that Disney Channel also had a "Lilo & Stitch" special this week? Here is a recommendation: Watch a movie instead.
Highlights
"Dateline," NBC at 8: Two-hour installment TBA.
"48 Hours," CBS at 8: TBA.
"Dark Angel," Fox at 8: Repeat. Never let it be said that the folks behind this show don't nod...
