Abstract
In August=September 2012, the South Gobi party of the Joint Russian Mongolian paleontological expedition studied the Lower Cretaceous deposits of the Guchin Basin (vrkhangai aimag, Guchin Us sum) to search for fossils of mammals. As a result, a new locality of Early Cretaceous mammals, Zuun Hovr, was found on the northern side of the Hovr valley, 452171 N, 1023435 E. In 2012, 3.6 tonnes of sediments were washed and 0.5 tonnes were sifted; over 1500 remains of vertebrates were collected.
