Abstract

We have measured the mixing parameter [special characters omitted] and searched for CPT violation in the B 0 mixing from the time evolution of dilepton events on the ϒ(4 S) resonance. The study was performed on a sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.1 fb−1 of data collected with the Belle detector between January and July of 2000.

If we invoke the CPT symmetry we measure [special characters omitted] This is the first direct measurement of [special characters omitted] from a time-dependent analysis on the ϒ(4S) resonance.

If we fit simultaneously for [special characters omitted] and the CPT-violating parameter [special characters omitted] we measure [special characters omitted] The [special characters omitted] measurement corresponds to the following mass and lifetime differences between B0 and B 0: [special characters omitted] The results are consistent with CPT conservation.

This is the first measurement on a search for a mass difference between B0 and B 0.
