These microfiche collections trace the changes in occupation objectives and document the reforms that established the groundwork for the economic resurgence of modern Japan. For economists, historians, cross-cultural specialists, and students of the political process, these collections provide a unique record of the day-to-day contacts between occupation authorities and Japanese government officials in every sector of the economy. It is a record of managing change that has great relevance to the situations of many countries today. This collection provides the substantive files of the occupation headquarters Natural Resources Section (NRS). The NRS had responsibility for land reform, land reclamation, and agricultural credit reform.
