Abstract

To add to the complexity, patients may display insight in a broader psychodynamic sense, for example, recognize their interpersonal problems while remaining unaware of their schizophrenic symptoms [14]. Because of a multitude of definitions and measures, what is meant by insight has varied across studies. [...]when addressing impaired insight in treatment, patients' social context and available support system need to be carefully considered.
