Abstract
El artículo analiza las contribuciones del economista estructuralista argentino Marcelo Diamand en las décadas de 1970 y 1980. Se examina en particular el concepto de estructura productiva desequilibrada y sus implicaciones en la distribución del ingreso, el nivel general de precios y la dinámica de las cantidades producidas en las economías latinoamericanas, con especial foco en el caso argentino. De nuestro trabajo se desprende que la obra de Diamand tiene una notable relevancia para entender los actuales desafíos que enfrenta la economía argentina en su intento de lograr un proceso de crecimiento sostenido.
