Abstract
Computed tomography (CT) of the abdomen and pelvis showed a 3-mm calculus in the left ureterovesical junction (UVJ) with mild hydroureteronephrosis with fluid collection in the perinephric space, and extravasation of the contrast medium at the ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) level, as observed on the delayed film [Figure 1]. {Figure 1} Symptoms of spontaneous ureteral rupture include sudden onset of severe abdominal and flank pain associated with nausea and vomiting.
