Abstract: This paper discusses a less treated subject until now: entertainment services. The main objective of this paper is to highlight the characteristics of these services. Our aim is to find out what entertainment services are, to whom they are addressed, what kind of services we have in Brasov County and the type of strategies applied by entertainment providers for the success of their business. When we discuss about entertainment we cannot leave out our free time, and that is why we will also cover this subject in another chapter of the paper. In order to achieve this goal, we will go through specialized articles while also analysing what actually happens in the case of entertainment services in Brasov County.

1.Introduction
Entertainment services represent a series of activities meant to bring and maintain a positive state for those who receive them. The purpose of this paper is to approach the key terms: services, services marketing, entertainment, and spare time.
Because until now the concept of entertainment and the idea of entertainment services marketing were scarcely approached, our goal is to discover and define these aspects in the next chapters.
Also, we will briefly analysis of these services currently existing in Brasov County. Once we have a full image on these aspects, we will identify part of the strategies and marketing techniques used by entertainment services providers.
2.Free time and entertainment services
2.1.The concept of free time
Free time was defined since antiquity, sometimes reflecting philosophical concepts, such as Aristotle said in one of his works: "We work so that we have free time" (Sellin, 1957). He conducted vast researches on free time whereas many ideas concluded that in equal measure with the time we work, we must also have time "to laze". He thought that having the capacity to properly use our free time should be a purpose in life.
Furthermore, another approach presents free time as being "preferred to working" and "a purpose of working people" (Miller, Robinson, 1963). These authors also note that free time must be spent according to every person's needs and pleasures.
