Patients also had physiologic studies measured at varied intervals over time which make accurate assessment of rates of decline less reliable over the study interval. Because of the lack of standardized therapy, we were unable to make inferences about the efficacy of any particular treatment regimen on pulmonary function testing or clinical course.
