Abstract

From CAD tools to shape optimization packages, parameters have been recognized as the key concept for a flexible, fast and efficient use of these tools. The Integrated Parametric Design has the purpose to manage and fully exploit existing parametric analysis chains. In order to provide a tool to assist engineers in this task, a new integrated and interactive environment has been created : BOSS/PARADISE (PARAmeinc Design Interactive SystEm). A first requirement for this package was to be opened up to the external world : this is achieved through a mechanism of drivers.
